This year, Automotive Week took place in Tangier, Morocco, where we launched a Greenfield investment to build our 41st factory. This brand new plant is focused on the automotive market. It was a great opportunity not only to meet new colleagues from the Knauf Industries automotive team but also to discuss issues that are crucial for our company.
Today, the largest automotive corporations are taking part in a technological race that will forever change how we travel. Autonomous vehicles are to be something more than just a safe means of transportation – in the future, their interiors may serve as offices, recreational rooms, and even bedrooms.
Modern industry not only requires the continuous pursuit of greater cost effectiveness and reduction of production cycle times but also prediction of trends and the search for innovation and value added for the client. This is why the Knauf Industries brand has developed an original palette of 36 textures in 4 lines corresponding to the latest trends in industrial design.
Electromobility is the irreversible direction of the automotive industry’s development. Society’s approval for vehicles of this type is growing, and designers are constantly working to improve the construction and design of electric cars. Parts made from modern plastics play a large role in this process, as they make it possible to improve a series of specifications in cars with an electric drive.
Electric, autonomous and connected to the web: that’s what the car of the future looks like. Furthermore, it will contain more plastic, so that it can be lighter, more efficient and emit less exhaust gases. The combustion engine vehicles we know will continue to be used for a long time, but new drives are already taking over the market: electric car sales are growing, as is the number of registered hybrid models. Everything is pointing to us being on the right path of change.
