History

1932
Our history dates back to 1932 when a family business of gipsum extraction was founded by two brothers Karl and Alfons Knauf. The headquarters of the company was established in Iphofen (Germany).

1958
The year 1958 was a milestone in our development as the 1st industrial production of plaster boards was successfully launched.

1984
In 1984 Knauf entered into the French market under the name of Knauf La Rhénane and in 1986 the growth continued with the creation of KNAUF Industries division.

Now
Our business diversified towards plastics based products for the fast-growing automotive industry.
